Deep Tissue Therapy
This 100 hour program involves understanding and applying a culmination of advanced therapeutic techniques. Deep Tissue Therapy refers to a variety of massage modalities encompassing Trigger Point, Acupressure, Myofascial Release, and Orthopedic measures. The focus of each modality is to release physiological tension or bonds within deeper structures of muscles and tissues in conjunction with orthopedic bodywork. Learn how to assess postural distortion and create a therapeutic program to reduce dysfunction and pain.

- Advanced anatomy - you'll learn to recognize bony landmarks and muscle attachments, along with associated functions and dysfunctions
- Pain recognition - you'll learn to palpate, i.e., feel, problematical areas as you search for the cause of your client's pains and/or muscle spasms
- Personal history assessment - you'll learn to review your client's personal history as a means of determining the causes of pain and/or dysfunction
- Myofascial spasm release techniques - you'll learn specific procedures for releasing spasms in the shoulders, neck and the upper, mid and lower back.
