Insurance
Information
As
a licensed practitioner of therapeutic massage in Texas, you are generally
not required to have liability coverage. However, many establishments
where you might practice do require it and, if for no other reason, you
should have it for your own peace of mind. You will of course be covered
by insurance during your Basic Program training. Its cost is included
in your tuition, and you're protected during training for up to one year
from the date you begin classes. After graduation you'll want to obtain
your own insurance--fortunately, it's easy and relatively inexpensive.
Here
are just a few organizations that provide coverage for massage professionals.
We can't recommend a choice, but will instead leave it up to you to check
them out. Hint: Have a look at their Web site before you call or write.
