Mary
Bryant, LMT, MTI
Mary is a practicing therapist for over seven years. Her primary focus
has been aimed at Eastern Arts. She is professionally associated with
the International Massage Association. Mary is in the process of obtaining
certification through the Upledger Institute for Craniosacral Therapy
and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Mary has taught with TMI for four years
and continues to train therapists in the art of Hydrotherapy, Aromatherapy,
Polarity, Reflexology, and Shiatsu.
Carrie
Crosbie, LMT, MTI
Carrie is the former therapist of the Dallas Burn and has received extensive
training in Orthopedic Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release
and Deep Tissue. She has been involved in the Spa industry for over four
years and maintains a private practice. Carrie primarily instructs Deep
Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, and Core, but also is a substitute for
Swedish Technique, Health and Hygiene, and Hydrotherapy.
Janet
Taylor Gray, B.S., LMT, CHT, MT (ASCP), Reiki Master
Janet Gray is an Instructor of many talents with over 2500 hours of continuing
education. She holds a B.S. in Medical Technology, a B.S. in Biological
Sciences, and Secondary Education Certification. Janet is a Clinical Hypnotherapist
with over 100 hours training in AstroPsychology, Stellar Healing, and
Hermetic Astrology. She is a Certified Instructor of Prenatal ReImprinting.
Janet is also an Honorary Doctor of Divinity and a Doctor of Metaphysics.
Janet is certified in Reflexology, Polarity, Aromatherapy, Sports Massage,
Acupressure, Environmental Stress Management, and more. Janet instructs
Anatomy and Physiology, and substitutes for all advanced courses.
Rebecca
Holstein, LMT, MTI
Rebecca serves as Director of the Plano Campus. Rebecca has been a massage
therapist for 6 years and involved in the Spa industry. She has studied
Deep Tissue, Trigger Point and Reflexology for two years. She enjoys learning
new techniques and anything that may better herself as a therapist and
instructor. Rebecca is currently teaching Swedish Massage Tech, Health
& Hygiene, Hydrotherapy, Business Practices and Professional Ethics,
and Trigger Point.
Donald
Jacobs, A.S., B.S., M.E., LMT, MTI
Donald has three engineering degrees, an Associate in Science in Engineering
Science, A Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and a Masters
of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, from Rennselaer Polytechnic
Institute in Troy, New York. He worked as an engineer in several Fortune
500 companies for over 29 years, until he had two large toxic exposures
and developed multiple chemical sensitivities. After detoxification and
healing, he is devoting his time to the natural healing arts, receiving
over 700 hours of training at the Texas Massage Institute. He combines
many Eastern and Western healing modalities, including Deep Tissue, Myofascial
Release, Trigger Point, Reflexology, essential oils, Reiki, crystals &
gem stones, and Polarity Therapy. He is also a macrobiotic counselor.
James
Kaler, M.A., B.S., LMT, MTI
James has been instructing students since 1997. He has developed alternative
education programs and implemented geriatric care programs. James is a
member of the International Massage Association. James instructs Health
and Hygiene, Hydrotherapy, Business Practices and Professional Ethics,
and Anatomy and Physiology.
Julia
Lurita Whitworth Lewis, Ph.D., M.S., B.S., MTI, LMT
Julia has been a practicing therapist for over six years and is a Professional
Member of Associated Bodyworkers and Massage Practitioners. She is certified
in prenatal massage and a massage doula. Julia enjoys instructing technique
based courses and is qualified to Instruct Swedish Technique, Health and
Hygiene, Business Practices and Professional Ethics, and additional Advance
Courses and CEs.
Sylvia
Mata, LMT, MTI
Sylvia is a TMI graduate and is registered as a Massage Therapy Instructor.
She is a practicing Massage Therapist and specializes in helping interns
to improve their technical and professional skills while overseeing the
student clinic.
Robert
(Mac) McMillan, MTI, LMT
Mac has focused academic achievements towards specific goals rather than
broad degrees. He has invested over four years of specific studies at
San Diego City College in California and UCLA. Mac is also well experienced
with technical venues all mastered during 21 years of active service in
the Navy. Mac comes to TMI with a wealth of knowledge and experience specializing
in trigger point, acupressure, reflexology, chair massage, infant massage,
myofacial release, hot stone massage, and much more. Mac is a Substitute
Instructor able to instruct Health and Hygiene, Business Practice and
Professional Ethics, and Swedish Technique.
Jeff
Neal, LMT, MTI
Jeff is a Chiropractic Intern for Parker College of Chiropractic. He graduated
from the North Texas School of Swedish Massage. He serves in the United
States Marine Corps Reserve, and has been practicing massage therapy for
over six years. Jeff currently teaches Anatomy & Physiology and substitutes
for Hydrotherapy, Health and Hygiene, Business Practices and Professional
Ethics, and Clinical Anatomy and Physiology.
Andy
Riffe, B.S., LMT, MTI
Andy received his Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Promotion
from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He graduated with honors
from Wellness Skills and has received advanced training in Trigger Point,
Reflexology, Shiatsu, Aromatherapy and Polarity Therapy. He has experience
with corporate chair, out-calls, therapeutic and spa-oriented massage.
He is currently a full-time student at Parker College of Chiropractic
Medicine. Andy teaches basic Anatomy & Physiology as well as advanced
Clinical Anatomy & Physiology.
Tyree
Beaton-Robinette, LMT, MTI
Tyree has been a Massage Therapist since 1987 and has had over 1200 hours
of continuing education. She has been a teacher of adult learners for
more than 20 years. She is not only a dedicated teacher, but intends to
remain a ‘learner-of-life.’ She is also a graduate of an extensive
Healing Arts program. Tyree teaches Health & Hygiene, Business, Hydrotherapy,
Trigger Point and the Core program.
Tracey
Rose, MTI, LMT, Reiki Master
Tracey serves as the Director of our El Paso campus. She has been a practicing
therapist since 1998 and an Instructor since 2001. She has been in private
practice for 8 years and is currently pursuing her BA in Human Services
at the University of Phoenix. Tracey teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Hydrotherapy,
and substitutes for all of our Basic Program courses.
Tommy
Rust, MEd, R.R.T., R.C.P., LMT, MTI
Tommy received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas Health
Science Center at Dallas and his master’s degree from Texas A&M
at Commerce. He has been in the health care field for 33 years as a therapist,
educator, and businessman. He teaches Health & Hygiene and business.
Rick
Salazar, A.S., LMT, MTI, Reiki Master
Rick has been a practicing therapist for over four years with an Associate
of Science in Computer Science. His primary focus is chair massage and
energy based work. Rick is a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage
Professionals. He currently leads a team of therapists providing chair
massage for major corporations and specialty events. Rick Instructs students
in Swedish Technique, Hydrotherapy, Health and Hygiene, Business Practices
and Professional Ethics, Polarity Therapy, Basic Chair and Advanced Chair
massage.
Laura
Pickle-Tanner, B.S.,LMT, MTI
Laura graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Kinesiology/Exercise
Physiology in 1993 and graduated with honors from Wellness Skills in 1995.
She has worked for SportTherapy SW Therapy Clinic for 9 years. She teaches
Swedish Technique, Anatomy and Physiology, Clinical Anatomy & Physiology,
Deep Tissue, CORE, Hot Stone Massage, Hydrotherapy, Health and Hygiene,
and Business Practices & Professional Ethics at the Fort Worth campus
where she has been employed since 1999.
Rhonda
Taylor, MTI, LMT, Reiki Master Teacher
Rhonda has been a practicing therapist for over 10 years with over 5 years
experience as an MTI and over 4 years as a Reiki Master Teacher. Rhonda
is currently a primary classroom Intern for Montessori School Certification.
Rhonda holds certification in Trigger Point therapy and over 35 hours
focused towards healing energy work. She has practiced within the medical
community and worked with chiropractors. Rhonda maintains her own private
practice and teaches Swedish Technique, Hydrotherapy, Trigger Point Therapy,
various CE courses, and substitutes for Health and Hygiene and Business
Practices and Professional Ethics.
Victor
Terrazas, MTI, LMT
A massage therapist since 1997, instructor since 2001 and CE provider
since 2003, Victor brings a wealth of experience to TMI. Victor is the
developer of the “Addressing Pain Series” workshops and a
certified Work Smart Instructor. Victor is a also a member of the Texas
Coalition of Massage Schools and Instructors. He stays extremely updated
and active in the field, and brings that enthusiasm and passion to his
workshops. With over 75 hours of Instructor Training, his instructional
style is fun, rewarding and results oriented.
Sharon
Tinker, MTI, LMT
Sharon finds the therapeutic side of massage therapy to be the most rewarding.
She enjoys advancing her studies in structural integration and pain management.
She specializes in Hydrotherapy, Infant Massage, Prenatal Massage, Chair
Massage, Geriatric Massage, Reflexology, Trigger Point Therapy, Orthopedic
Massage and Structural Integration. Sharon is qualified to Instruct Swedish
Technique, Health and Hygiene, Hydrotherapy, and a variety of Advanced
Courses and CEs.
Lynn
Webster, B.S., MTI, LMT
Lynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tarleton State University.
She is a graduate of Wellness Skills with over five years experience as
a therapist. Lynn has worked in the Spa industry and has been successful
performing chair massage at corporate locations and events. She specializes
in chair massage, pre and perinatal massage, orthopedic massage, infant
massage, and sports massage. Lynn teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Health
and Hygiene, Hydro, and Business practices and Professional Ethics.
Paul
Wells, PTA, NA, MTI, LMT
While attending college, Paul spent six years at Baylor Institute for
Rehabilitation in Dallas as a Physical/Occupational Therapy assistant
and Nurses Aide. Specializing in working with brain and spinal cord injured
patients, he was praised for his calming effect and soothing touch. After
graduating from Wellness Skills, Inc. in 1997, he began his new massage
career working in and managing Rehabilitation and Chiropractic clinics.
In 1999 he started his own full-time massage practice; since that time
he has completed over 200 class-time hours in massage and has become a
C.P.R./A.E.D. Instructor, Water Safety Instructor and Personal Trainer.
Paul is currently a Designated Spa Trainer for the Four Seasons Resort
and Club in Las Colinas. Through his affiliation with the Four Seasons,
he was asked to help open a new $3 million Spa in Nevis, West Indies where
he spent three months living and working in a beautiful tropical invironment.
And he has also been the Massage Therapist to the pros of the PGA Byron
Nelson Golf Tournament for the past three years. In addition to Teaching
and Training, Paul maintains a full-time massage practice at deNovo, a
medical spa in Dallas where he provides cutting-edge cellulite treatments
along with massage therapy.
Tashina
Yoshii, N.D., LMT, MTI
Tashina is the Advanced Program instructor of Shiatsu I & II. Tashina
studied with Yasuo Mori (1979 – 1983) while working as an occupational
therapist in pediatrics. She has been teaching traditional Japanese Shiatsu
since 1985. Tashina is a Naturopathic doctor with a special interest in
Earth Science of Medicine Wheel Knowledge.
